Cup Final Report From Mike and Martin 

Deans Sports Oranges u15s  v Kingsway u15s

We came into the game as underdogs for this one, our opponents had beaten us in every one of the previous 4 meetings.

Getting into the changing room we could see some lads were affected by this and the occasion. The team talk was all about us...what we have to put on the line  to be in with a shout in this game. The final message if they are better than us technically ok it gives us something to work on next season,but they can't want this trophy more than us we have to show desire and determination.

The walk to the pitch there was a different air about the lads.

The match started and it was a tight affair,  the attacks went back and forth..

No team.giving an inch. Riley had our best chance hitting the keeper from a good low cross,  they had a similar effort they put over the bar. Then we brought the game changers on and we just looked more dangerous than them, creating several good situations before Olly hit the side of the post.

The coaches were about to do the team talk when vice captain Yaseen took over telling the lads what was expected of them and how much he wanted this today. It lifted the group we was ready.

2nd half was another tight affair but we had the best of the attacking exchanges Usman smashing a 20 yard shot against the bar.

There was a crowd watching us now instead of their own cup final warm up...you heard them saying watch this game its intense.

17mins to go and the ball was squared to Samuel on the edge of the box he side footed it into the corner their excellent  keeper couldnt reach it for 1 nil to us...the place erupted.

We now had to hold out against strong opponents...it was tense every player had given all they had ...the occasion the opponents and the sun we was exhausted. We defended their attacks superbly....it was into the final minute....

Josh A picked the ball up in midfield he drove at their defence with only one thought in his mind 

Some of our lads were on the pitch they think it's all over..(josh slotted it home)

It is now!!!

Then every player, the squad and their mates sprinted to Josh in the corner to celebrate....the ref blew the whistle .....we were the Cup Winners against the odds.2v0.

What a performance from every player ..a truly proud moment  to be part of the Deans.
