Match report from parent Loz

A home game for Sports U14 vs Parkwyddn and the team started brightly with David firing in an early goal before Thomas rifled in from near impossible angle after the ball was kept alive from a corner. Jenson did a great job deputising for Bobby, while in front of him Lewis marshalled the defence well and Jake was tenacious as ever, throwing himself in tackles. Lewis won the ball in defence; fed Charlie who set up David for his 2nd. 3-0 at half time but not before an Alfie B trademark sliding tackle snuffed out a dangerous break from the opposition. 

The boys kept the pressure up in 2nd half. David bagged another before an Alfie C shot was not held & Josh was on hand to finish from the rebound. Parkwyddn pulled one back before David got 2 more to make it 5 goals scored in successive games! His 5th came from a great run down the right & smart finish. Jacob was unlucky not to make it onto the scoresheet while Daylon produced a lovely turn & finish to make it 8-2. 

Strong performances across the pitch and hopefully sets the boys up well for the Deans derby vs Tigers next week!!
